Bridle Trails

Equestrian Guidelines

Beaulieu has approximately 28 kilometers of Bridle Trails for use by residents and their family. Access to the bridle trails is controlled by a series of internal gates, controlled by a remote.

The Equestrian Guidelines are designed to promote and protect the horses and riders in the estate.

  • For security purposes the trails are electronically monitored.

  • A curfew is applied to their use between the hours of 18h00 and 06h00. Also, mindful of community living, use before 06h00 on weekdays and 07h00 on weekends and holidays is discouraged due to the untimely noise generated by the canine residents.

  • No motorized vehicles may be used on the trails as these trails frequented by cyclists, riders and pedestrians. Security is authorized to remove residents and their guests who fail to adhere to this regulation.

  • Dogs accompanying trail users must be on a leash at all times.

  • Cyclists are to warn riders if coming from behind and to pull to one side when approached by horses . Groups of more than 3 cyclists or more must stop if they see horses.

  • Walkers are to move to one side and give way to horses.

  • Please report any holes, gates not working or dangers to admin so we can fix them.

  • Riders are requested to reinstate jumps if knocked down.

  • Never canter around blind corners, up behind or past other horses.

  • Avoid paddocking stallions on the boundary of another property containing horses.

  • Ensure that floodlights on arenas do not shine into areas of neighboring properties.

  • Be mindful of noise and dust when harrowing arenas.

  • Ensure compost heaps are not causing discomfort to neighbors, there are services which collect from your gate.

  • Ensure adequate fly control is used.
